A break with the workers of the National Fund for Central Medical Supplies – the last treatment – ✍️ Khaled Fadl Al-Sayyid

The National Medical Supplies Fund is a building that everyone knows for the great services it provides to this people in times of peace and war. Through its performance, it contributes to achieving pharmaceutical security, which has attracted the attention of the State. Its strategic importance has attracted praise and appreciation from different sectors of society and state leaders.

After the outbreak of this war, this strategic facility was targeted by the Rapid Support militia, which invaded the Khartoum site, burned its stores, looted its medicines and destroyed much of its offices, furniture, equipment and appliances. One of the advantages and positive points is that the Fund established its branches in the States (Rotary Medicine), which were established by the late Dr. Mandour, Resident, after assuming the management of this facility, which has now played an effective role in this field. providing medicines and medical supplies to various public facilities, which helped to fill the lack of medicines in the country through the efforts of the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, and the Director General of Medical Supplies, Dr. Badr al-Din al-Jazouli and some of the workers who continue their work in the Fund's branches in the states to fulfill the burden of storing and distributing medicines, which resulted in the provision of medicines of all kinds at low prices within considering the exorbitant price of medicines in the country.

After the war broke out in Khartoum State, medical workers were displaced to various regions of Sudan, and a number of them were martyred in this war, and some of them died. We ask God for His mercy and forgiveness for them.

The workers today are suffering from very difficult conditions, and some are complaining about it, and their situation is undeniable. There is also another segment of the medical equipment that has been swept away by the flames of suffering, these are the retirees whose service is provided. which ended during the period of this war. They are now also suffering from tragic conditions due to the stoppage of work in the state offices and the non-payment of their benefits.

These are employees, workers and merchants, some of whom worked for a long time, reaching forty years, and contributed to the establishment and development of this building.

To address this issue, it is possible to re-support and revitalize the workers' solidarity fund and adjust its situation so that it contributes to improving their financial situation and plays its role of social support during bereavements, weddings and other events related to employees.

We hope that the top management will develop a specific and appropriate vision to address the suffering of the workers, considering the great contributions and efforts they have made throughout the years spent in their lives to raise this edifice until it becomes a pride and an achievement called Lebanon. This alone makes us appreciate this and find appropriate solutions to address the difficult conditions they are currently going through.

We send our last letter by mail to Dr. Badr al-Din al-Jazouli, Director General of Medical Supplies, whom we know closely and whose distinguished biography and notable positions preceded our interview about him, and we tell him that your position with the workers before and during this war and in times of adversity is always a matter of praise and appreciation, and they remember it, and now they hope and look forward to the fact that some of them are now in the United States and Khartoum living in difficult conditions, others are sick and need urgent surgeries, and the rest suffer from chronic diseases. The suspension of the medical card has increased the burden of suffering. They hope that you will solve their financial problem, either by removing the medical card. incentives directly or in part if the resources are not available, or by activating the solidarity fund and supporting it until this problem is resolved, their situation is now out of the question, because the salary alone is not enough, even for family obligations, in light of the exorbitant prices in the markets and the high rents for displaced people in the states, which have exceeded the limit and have become an obsession for everyone.
