The Interventional Council of Ministers, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued Resolution No. (7) for the year 2025 appointing His Excellency Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Mahqaf President of the University Council of Dilling.

Dilling University was established in 1994 and is a member of the Union of Sudanese, Arab and African Universities. It maintains smart partnerships and MoUs with a number of Sudanese, African and Arab universities. The university includes the following colleges: 1 – College of Medicine and Health Sciences (Delling): The college awards the following degrees: A – Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in five years (ten semesters). B – Four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing. C – Four-year bachelor's degree in public health and environmental health and five-year honors degree. 2 – College of Agricultural Sciences (Dilling): The college awards a bachelor's degree with honors in agricultural sciences in five years in the following specializations: (Animal production – Crop production – Crop protection – Soil sciences – Agricultural engineering – Agricultural extension). 3 – College of Education (Daling): The college awards a four-year bachelor's degree in education with honors in the following departments: A – Art education: Islamic studies – Arabic language – English language – French language – history – geography – psychology. B – Education: Sciences: Biology – Chemistry – Physics – Mathematics. 4 – Teachers College (Daling): The college awards a four-year bachelor's degree with honors in education, basic education in the following specializations: – (Arabic language and Islamic studies – Arabic language and history – English language and geography – Science and mathematics – Preschool (kindergarten) education
