A close source revealed that the work team consisting of engineers and electrical technicians who were working to repair the fault damaged by the first attack on the dam's transformers by the militia marches, which affected Merowe and Karima areas , declared that the work team had escaped certain death thanks to the last attack, Monday at dawn, of the militias who marched for the second time on the Merowe dam, a few hours after leaving the site after having repaired the flaw.
The source clarified that the return of power to the areas affected by the blackout due to the attack on the militia marches is linked only to ensuring the safety of the parties affected by the fire.
The source revealed that the marches were attacked for the second time after the Marawi and Karima areas of the northern state were hit for the first time.
The second time, areas of the Nile and Red Sea states were affected. The work team of engineers and electrical technicians is making intense efforts to restore electricity in the coming hours.
