Al-Dabba Health announces that the hospital is free of new cases of cholera and that the health situation has stabilized with a recovery rate of 97.9%.

Al-Dabbah Local Health Affairs announced this evening, Thursday, October 24, 2024, that the number of new cholera infections reached zero at Al-Dabbah Central Hospital, while the cumulative number of infections reached 1,329 cases. The cumulative number of recovered people reached 1,298, bringing the recovery rate to 97.9%. No new deaths were recorded today, with the mortality rate having stabilized at 1.7%.

These statistics are part of the health report presented during the ordinary meeting chaired by the executive director of the locality of Al-Dabbah, Mr. Muhammad Saber, in the presence of the Security Committee, his deputy, Mr. Al-Hassan Ibrahim Hamed , and the Financial Director, Mr. Abu Ubaida Ali Awad, as well as all members of the Health Emergency Committee. The meeting discussed the current health situation and measures taken to combat cholera.

For his part, the Executive Director stressed the need to continue the health campaign and strictly apply health requirements for all, without complacency, especially after cases of infection fell to zero. He thanked the emergency committee composed of the Security Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, Health Affairs and all parties involved in the fight against the epidemic, praising their efforts which contributed to achieving health stability in the locality of Al-Dabba.

In a statement, local health director Had Haj Al-Nour confirmed that the outbreak level had fallen to zero, and no new cases were recorded today. Messages were sent to citizens and traders on the need to comply with health requirements, the most important of which are general hygiene, cleanliness of commercial premises and equipment and the environment, in addition to personal hygiene, to maintain public safety and prevent transmission of infections.
