His Excellency the Governor of the Northern State Al-Hammam, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah Muhammad, was accompanied by the members of the State Security Committee, His Excellency Major General of Police Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al-Amin, the Director of the Northern State Police, His Excellency Brigadier General Malek Muhammad Ramli, Commander of the 75th Brigade, Director of the General Intelligence Service of the Northern State, and the Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Satti Ali Satti, the Minister of Social Affairs in Charge, Mrs. Manal Makkawi, Mr. Makkawi Al-Khair Al-Waqi, the Executive Director of Dongola Locality, members of the local security committee, the Secretary General of Zakat in the state and the directors of the Red Crescent and the Sudanese Mineral Resources Corporation in the state. The state visited the Al-Hafeer administrative area following the wave of heavy rains that caused significant damage. Some educational institutions were also not spared, as the delegation closely examined the affected sites and understood the extent of the disasters and stood up with the affected families in coordination with the Emergency Committee and Civil Defense. The losses amount to about 122 completely damaged houses, 2,180 partially damaged houses, 4 schools, youth centers and the Al-Hafeer administrative unit. provide humanitarian assistance, in kind and financial, to the areas affected by floods and rains, as well as the War of Dignity in previous periods and before it was granted. That is why this visit was carried out by the auspicious delegation led by the governor of the state. . No one knows the merit of the people of virtue except the people of virtue, and no one knows the honorable except his people.
As the damage was severe, the governor inaugurated shelter materials, food baskets, shelter tarpaulins, a hygiene basket, and food reserves of wheat, lentils, rice and others provided by external organizations such as the King Salman Charitable Foundation, the Yeomen Appeal Organization, and locally the Zakat Office and the State Red Crescent.
The governor and his accompanying delegation noted the extent of the destruction caused to educational institutions, such as the Akkad and Surooj Girls' High School, and vowed to maintain these losses, given the importance of education and the accompanying delegation visited Masho Hospital, this old hospital, which provides its therapeutic services through its window to all citizens of Al-Hafeer unit and its surroundings, where it is considered the only hospital after the hospitals in Dongola city, located about 40 kilometers away, which demonstrated its services during this ordeal, by receiving a large number of those affected by these rains until they received the necessary treatment.
The Governor and the accompanying delegation also visited the families of the two victims who died in Mashu area, offering their condolences for this great loss, as well as those who lost their lives due to these rains, which the area had never experienced before, and despite the calamity, the visit had a good impact on their souls.
At the end of the visit, the governor ordered that urgent solutions be found to the current situation, thanking all parties concerned for the efforts made that have reduced the loss of lives and property. He also thanked the volunteer citizens who contributed. contributed to helping the affected people and the detainees.
