An imminent solution to the electricity crisis in Shindi
A power plant with a capacity of 100 megawatts has arrived in Shendi City, which helps solve the electricity problem in the locality and reduces the rate of long outages.
Engineer Musab Al-Sir Hamida of the Sudan Electricity Transmission Company said that this transformer significantly contributes to electricity stability. He said the installation of the transformer will be completed in ten days and the installation operations will be accompanied by additional interruptions. other than the times initially scheduled, which could be up to 8 to 10 hours.
He revealed that the electricity generation rate would rise to 150 megawatts.
The Executive Director of Shindi locality, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, praised the efforts of the Electricity Department, which resulted in the arrival of this transformer, which will contribute to the stability of electricity, including the Demand increasingly increased after the arrival of thousands of expatriates from Khartoum to Shindi, and the increasing number of shops and some factories that settled in the locality after the war in Khartoum
Khaled said the stability of electricity increases the continuity and regularity of drinking water services, as most water stations are connected to electricity.
The executive director explained that many services in the medical and health field are improving thanks to the stability of electricity, in addition to other electricity-related services.
Khaled thanked the local citizens who tolerated the planned cuts and were patient with them and the resulting crises, such as the drinking water crisis and others.
