Arab Authority intends to increase its investments in Morocco

Dr. Obaid Saif Hamad Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Authority for Investment and Agricultural Development, accompanied by a delegation of specialists from the Authority, paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from 1 to 4 July 2024 with the aim of presenting the Arab Authority and its investment activities in Arab countries in general and the Kingdom of Morocco in particular, in addition to examining aspects of future cooperation to conclude investment partnerships in order to increase the Authority's investments in the Kingdom of Morocco due to its suitable business environment. Dr. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority and the accompanying delegation visited Radwan Arsh, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, where they discussed strengthening relations between the two parties and research. .. Potential investment opportunities were also introduced in the Green Mountain Strategy for Morocco, which focuses on sustainable agricultural development, and in the Ministry of Agriculture's project, which targets one million families to develop and empower their capacities. His Excellency also met with His Excellency Abdel Latif Al-Jawahiri, Governor of the Bank of Morocco. During the meeting, the Arab Authority, its activities and investments in the Kingdom of Morocco were presented, as well as the Authority's guidelines to strengthen its investments in the Kingdom. The visit included a meeting with a group of financial institutions and funds with a common interest in the Authority's activities and its role in supporting the agricultural sector and the segment of small farmers and producers in the Arab Member States. The meeting was held with Salah al. -Din Kamali, CEO of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion du Royaume du Maroc, and Mohamed Fikrat, Head of Collective Management of the Crédit Agricole du Maroc Group, Youssef Ben Chakroun, Director General of the Microfinance Secretariat, and Ms. Salma. In addition to a visit to agricultural companies and entities related to the work of the Authority to discuss future aspects of cooperation, which included the visit of Amin Al-Wali, General Manager of Fresh Cut Company, Bennani Anas, General Manager of Baltamar Company, and Adel Hajoubi, General Manager of Al-Shall Consulting and Investments Company.

Dr. Obaid Al Zaabi also reviewed the situation of the companies in which the Authority contributes and their future projects in the Kingdom of Morocco, where he met with the General Manager of Orbis Holding, Al Hadi Chamaou, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors. of the Authority and the accompanying delegation reviewed the latest developments regarding the company's agricultural projects, including the Orbis Green Olive project for the production of olives and virgin olive oil, and the Orbis Berries project for the production and packaging of berries and citrus fruits. praised the role played by the company in strengthening the agricultural sector and developing local production in the Kingdom of Morocco. He also met with the General Manager of Daya Youssef Company, Youssef Balkoura, and was briefed on the company's activity and the role it plays in promoting and developing local production in the Kingdom of Morocco.

As part of the presentation of the Arab Authority and its activities in Arab countries, Al Zaabi met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Morocco, Al Asri Saeed Ahmed Al Dhaheri Abdul Latif Al Yahya, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Morocco.
