He took the city of Al-Manaqil as the administrative capital, with which he managed his state and economic affairs, and because his state was of a nature and vast agricultural lands due to the existence of the Al-Jazeera project, this agricultural area that supplies Sudan and its neighbors with agricultural products, and after After the entry of the Janjaweed, more than half of the project was lost, and the conspirators with the militias continued to wait for famine to strike Sudan, due to the loss of part of the project lands and the plundering of them. agricultural machinery and the destruction of the project's infrastructure, the Janjaweed, the Qahta, their sponsor and those who helped them continued to dream of a famine that would hit Sudan and its people, until they were attracted by foreign aid, which instilled in it support for rebel militias and military equipment to continue destroying the country, and this is what led Professor Al-Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair to hold the banner of development in one hand and a responsibility to the Sudanese people in the other, with his Eyes fixed on the transformation of their dream into a nightmare, Professor Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair continued to work in very difficult circumstances and extremely complex conditions, between the hammer and the anvil of military operations. He accelerated the development and agricultural economy and provided solar panels. to operate underground water stations and irrigate what was left of the project in the villages of Al-Manaqil, which did not experience services throughout the period of its existence and the independence of its fertile agricultural lands. Our staunch guardian, Mr. Al-Taher Ibrahim. Al-Khair, promulgated the law of work in the field and remained alone on all occasions, monitoring the progress of the work through his visits to the markets and service facilities after solving the problems of electricity and water, and this is one aspect and another. that many residents of the villages occupied by the Janjaweed have been displaced to the safe villages of Al-Manaqil, where the armed forces control them. There are now more than a million people in these villages who benefit from basic services, such as. as health and shelter. He managed to provide them with relief. The city of Al-Manaqil, despite the siege and occupation, is considered the cheapest of the cities in Sudan, due to its own resources and the interest of Professor Al-. Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair in more than 170 shelters in the city of Al-Manaqil and its surroundings, imposes a heavy burden on him, but he managed to do it in his own way and by himself, to get the country out of the specter of famine. He continued to work with detachment and selflessness until he was able to establish a project of Al-Manaqil plateau with an area of one million acres, of which 400 acres were cultivated initially to replace that of the project. lost lands. This can ensure the food security of this country, and the historic decision to dissolve all the resistance committees, to seek help from the non-indulgence service committees, and to form support committees that bring together the largest money holders in the city and the rest of Gezira State, headed by Mr. Abdel Moneim Abu Derir and Hajj Jamoua, who are among the largest traders and have great national roles and social responsibility in Gezira State, replied Professor Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair. , and autumn came as he wished, and the plateau basin was filled with water that feeds the irrigation project, ensuring abundant and sufficient production for the country.
