The fourth edition of the Forum was recently held under the title “Africa for a Better Future”. Changing the World: Reimagining Global Governance for Peace and Development. This important event saw a broad participation of senior African and international officials, as well as experts and representatives from civil society and the private sector.

Participants discussed ways to strengthen cooperation among African countries to achieve sustainable peace and security, create an environment conducive to economic and social development, and prevent extremism and terrorism. Where a new African network was launched to prevent extremism leading to terrorism, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between centers working in this field and in the field of reconstruction and development, the “Aswan Forum” award for reconstruction and development was announced to honor prominent African role models in the field of peacebuilding, regarding the Sudanese crisis, Mr. Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, stressed the need to resolve the Sudanese crisis through a Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, far from any external interference.
