The representative of the Ministry of Finance, Adam Abu Al-Qasim, warned of the catastrophic effects of climate change in Sudan and the countries of the world and stressed the need to benefit from the change so that it becomes a blessing and not a curse. He highlighted in his speech on Wednesday morning the activities of the third forum on water management, safety and security, renewable energy, climate change and the environment in the hall of international experts for conferences at the Red Sea University, he confirmed. He stressed the need to adopt laws, plans and coordination with international organizations to work on the ground to carry out water and sanitation projects, noting that many projects have been implemented in coordination with specialized institutions. The financing is consistent with Sudan's success in the sanitation development and development project, financed by the African Development Bank. He revealed that the financing of the Arbaat Dam and its construction with the latest technological equipment to avoid fractures and absorb the expected and unexpected amounts of floods and torrents. He stressed the importance of awareness and the value of water as a fundamental entry point for the development of the state's population.
The Director of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development, Eng. Muhammad Yassin Muhammad Shams, stressed the need to find urgent solutions to the problem of dams and to treat seawater to make it drinkable in order to fill the deficit due to climate change. He pledged to adopt special recommendations for alternative energy, solar energy and wind energy, and to benefit from them to fill the deficit in electric energy.
