The statement spoke of a shooting caused by a member of the Joint Force inside the women’s ward of Atbara Hospital, which resulted in the death of four people, according to this statement and the reason. It was also mentioned that an altercation between this member of the joint force and one of the hospital employees led to what happened, when this individual and others entered a women’s ward, and when the employee intercepted him, prevented him and informed him that it was a women’s ward, he opened fire to hit the injured person!!
I continued to search for any statement from the government or security services, but only found a statement attributed to a security source saying that the incident happened at the hospital gate, that the perpetrator was unconscious, that he was arrested, that action was taken, that the incident had no political or security dimension and that the situation was back to what it was!!!
In less than a month, we will address this issue and that of carrying weapons and threats against the lives of citizens through this section…
The problem is not the lack of awareness, nor the political dimensions, nor the provision of security at the event venue, nor the people.
The problem involves a constant threat to the security and lives of citizens in hospitals, markets, roads and even in the neighborhoods where members of this force are deployed, sharing accommodation with citizens, while keeping their weapons and their cars traveling on the roads without number plates.
The problem cannot be reduced to an unconscious individual, and before that, there have been conflicts and problems between citizens and members of this force in various regions, the most recent of which is the arrest and imprisonment of a citizen in Al-Ubaidiya, which aroused the anger of citizens.
The problem prevails in the presence of these forces and individuals here, because there is no fighting, no war, no Janjaweed and no siege to be broken by these people.
The problem, gentlemen, is that we’re making it easy, just like we did when the Rapid Support Militia strengthened and secured important sites. The result was a war that continues to this day.
What should be the case, gentlemen, is that the State, at all levels, does not allow the presence of forces in the safe zones other than the regular forces (the armed forces, the police and the security services) and only those on alert from the people of the State in their State alone, as long as the situation does not require the presence of supporting forces from the rest of the country.
We call on him and demand that he quickly take a decision on the presence of forces other than the armed forces, police, security and mobilized persons of the state in all the states of the country, to prevent and ward off a new war that could break out due to such frivolity, and for such incidents to turn into real clashes between these irregular forces coming from outside the states and irregular bodies of the population of these states. The warning from the Lions of the North in their press release to which we referred is only proof of impatience and despair in the face of the solutions of the official authorities in the face of this chaos…
