Bangkok Justice Minister: We demand that the Rapid Support Forces be classified as a terrorist organization
Justice Minister Dr. Muawiya Othman Muhammad Khair called the Rapid Support Forces a terrorist organization while addressing the opening session of the 62nd session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization in Bangkok today.
The Minister of Justice also called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral role and responsibilities by respecting Sudan's right to protect its lands and people. He also stressed the need to explicitly condemn the Rapid Support Forces and classify them as a terrorist organization. for all the inhumane acts they commit, based on the importance of the organization's meetings related to discussing relevant issues and topics regarding relations with international law, and submitting recommendations on this to the governments of member states and international organizations, to guide them in their efforts to achieve international peace and security.
In conclusion, His Excellency the Minister thanked the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand for hosting the meetings of the 62nd Session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization. He also expressed his best wishes for success to the leadership of the organization and their tireless efforts to play the role assigned to the members in order to achieve the desired goal.
