With reference to the advertisements circulating on some social media sites and some individuals claiming to be employees of the Bank of Khartoum and announcing the facilitation of the activation procedures of the service (Your Bank) without carrying out the customer verification procedures approved by the bank, the bank management notes and announces the following:
1- These announcements are issued by intermediaries (brokers) who have no relationship with the Bank of Khartoum, and the Bank of Khartoum denies any relationship with these persons.
2- The procedures for activating your bank accounts are carried out through the official channels of the bank and announced on the official pages of the Bank of Khartoum through different communication media (by visiting the nearest branch or by communicating and communicating through the “direct” call center) in accordance with the established procedures and are done free of charge without imposing any fees for the procedure.
3- The bank has restricted and opened criminal proceedings against these intermediaries before the public prosecutor's office for cybercrime under Article 11 of the Anti-Cybercrime Law of 2018 for the offense of identity theft, as well as under Article 25 of the same law for the offense of defamation. the reputation of the bank.
4-We warn these intermediaries (brokers) against continuing these offences, especially since the bank will not hesitate to arrest them by all legal means through the competent public prosecutor's office.
This is therefore a warning to everyone not to deal with these fraudulent brokers in order to avoid legal proceedings, and the bank will continue to take legal measures to combat this behavior in order to protect its rights and those of its customers.
