Campaigns to eliminate violations continue in Khartoum as part of arrangements for the return of government and citizens.

In a step that reflects the seriousness of preparations for the next stage, Khartoum locality today continued its regular campaigns to eliminate violations on the occasion of the start of the new year 2026, as part of preparing the environment for the return of the federal government and citizens to their areas.
The Director of the Violations and Regulation Department of Khartoum locality, Mr. Saleh Suleiman Issa, confirmed that these campaigns are part of the latest arrangements aimed at reorganizing markets and main roads, in preparation for the return of the federal government to its new headquarters, in addition to facilitating the return of citizens to their different regions.
He explained that the campaigns targeted the main streets surrounding the central market and the entrances to the dominant roads, including the extension of Africa Street in the south and Muhammad Naguib Street from the intersection of Zero Street to the intersection with Mukhtar Suleiman Street at the entrance to the Central Market in the west, in addition to eliminating violations in the central area of Khartoum and the streets of eastern Khartoum, including Al-Steen, Obaid Khatam and Nile Street at the intersection of Omak.
He noted that the violations that were removed included kiosks, slums and barracks, as well as engineering and environmental violations at sites not permitted to operate in accordance with locally approved requirements.
He highlighted the regular continuation of campaigns to prevent the recurrence of violations, which contributes to improving the overall appearance, organizing movements, supporting stability efforts and preparing the capital for a safe and orderly return.
