Central Bank Imposes New Controls to Cope with April War Losses

The Central Bank of Sudan imposed new controls to address war losses on April 15, 2023. These included granting a grace period to address losses from looting of bank storages, ranging from eight to ten years, while granting those receiving financing a grace period of (18) months starting from April 15.
