Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Egyptian President hold joint discussion session

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi held a joint discussion session in the hall of the Cairo International Conference Center, in margin of the World Urban Forum.

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen, support and develop relations serving the people of the two countries, areas of joint cooperation, as well as issues of common interest between the two countries in all areas.

The President of the Sovereign Council informed the Egyptian President of the latest developments in the situation in Sudan. Against the backdrop of the rebellion of the terrorist militia Rapid Support against the State and its institutions.

The President of the Sovereignty Council expressed his thanks and appreciation to President Sissi for the invitation he extended to him to participate in the work of the World Urban Forum.

Welcoming the warm welcome and generous hospitality. Appreciating the level of strong brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries, emphasizing Egyptian support for maintaining the safety, security and stability of Sudan.

Al-Burhan expressed the Sudanese government's appreciation for the active role of the Republic of Egypt in the region, under the leadership of President Sissi.

The President of the Sovereignty Council renewed his thanks to the brotherly Egyptian people for receiving their Sudanese brothers and providing them with aid and assistance.

His Excellency also thanked President Sissi for his advice and interest in the issues of Sudanese residents in Egypt.

For his part, the Egyptian President thanked Lieutenant General Al-Burhan for responding to the invitation, emphasizing Egypt's strong and firm stance alongside the Sudanese people to achieve security, stability and to unity, expressing deep appreciation for the level of joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields, emphasizing its keenness to consolidate and strengthen the ties of fraternity and to support and strengthen the relations between Sudan and the Egypt to realize the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

Highlighting Egypt's great pride in its close ties with Sudan, both at the official and popular levels, noting the deep historical ties between the two brotherly countries.

President Sissi affirmed his commitment to resolving all obstacles facing the Sudanese, especially the Sudanese student segment in Egypt, and His Excellency ordered the relevant authorities to facilitate all procedures regarding our Sudanese brothers.

On the Sudanese side, the meeting took place in the presence of the Minister of Urban Planning, Mr. Ahmed Fadl, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, and the Ambassador of Sudan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Lieutenant General Imad Al-Din Adawi.
