Children's Council: A meeting in the Council of Ministers to discuss the national plan to combat female genital mutilation
Port Sudan:
The Secretary General of the National Council for Child Protection, Dr. Abdul Qadir Abdullah Abu, revealed that the meeting of the Technical Committee of the Council of Ministers will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, to discuss a matrix of a number of files, including the national plan to end female genital mutilation and female genital cutting (FGM), with the participation of several partners, stressing the importance of raising awareness among the local community.
Abdul Qader said in limited press statements that this plan will be discussed to eliminate negative social customs in the society, and the meeting will also discuss the issue of sources of funding to implement these activities.
