Chinese President Receives Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan

Today, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Chinese President #Xi_Jin_Ping received Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General #Abdel Fattah_Burhan. This was on the sidelines of his participation in the China-Africa Forum, which concluded its activities in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

Al-Burhan praised the level of arrangement and organization of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum. Highlighting the deep-rooted historical relations between China and African countries, he said Sudan has well-established relations with China that have lasted for more than 65 years.

Stressing his positions of support for Sudan in international forums, Al-Burhan said that Sudan is eager to work with China to build a strategic partnership that benefits the peoples of both countries. His Excellency noted

Noting his contributions to Sudanese oil extraction and implementation of infrastructure projects.

Al-Burhan renewed Sudan's commitment to facilitating Chinese investment operations, indicating that joint committees between the two countries will work to overcome obstacles in a satisfactory manner.

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council expressed his thanks and appreciation to China for its security and military support to Sudan. He stressed Sudan's determination to move towards ending the rebellion led by the Rapid Support Militia against the state and its institutions. He said that what Sudan is exposed to is a grand plan behind which countries and regional and global organizations are hostile to its security and stability.

For his part, the Chinese president welcomed the president of the Sovereignty Council and thanked him for accepting the invitation and participating in the China-Africa Forum.

Stressing that China-Africa relations are eternal relations with deep roots in history. Expressing his hope that the process of these relations will see further development and growth, he added: “We are proud of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.” He said his country has been following the situation in Sudan with concern and hopes that stability will return to Sudan soon.

President Xi Jinping has expressed his confidence in the chairman of the Sovereignty Council and his ability to overcome this crisis and turn the page on war.

He said his country is ready to support and stand by Sudan until it recovers and enjoys peace.

Stressing his rejection of foreign interference in Sudanese affairs, he called on the international community to play a positive role in Sudanese issues.

The torrents and floods disaster caused serious damage to citizens' homes and property, and he announced his country's support to Sudan with 200 million Chinese yuan to meet the humanitarian needs of people affected by natural disasters in Sudan.
