Cholera cases emerge in North Kordofan, Health Ministry warns
The North Kordofan State Health Ministry has warned of the spread of the cholera outbreak after a confirmed case was recorded and the outbreak was declared, increasing the risk of its spread among the population.
Acting Health Minister Dr Iman Malik told reporters: “The situation becomes dangerous if there is no awareness of how to deal with the severity of the deadly cholera outbreak.
Iman said that prevention is better than cure, so it is necessary to wash hands, reheat food, not eat in contaminated areas, eat cold and abrasive foods exposed to flies and not drink from unsanitary water sources.
Malik revealed that the state is also suffering from the spread of dengue fever and a number of cases have been recorded.
