For example, in the state of Gedaref, corn production decreased by 25% between 1981 and 2008.
It affects the availability of water in Sudan, where it should increase the deterioration of water quality and an increase in diseases transmitted in water, such as malaria and cholera.
Also on public health in Sudan, where it is expected to increase the spread of water and air transferred, such as dengue and malaria in areas affected by war and areas where diseases abound.
