The commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in Shindi, Major General Hamdan Abdel Qader Daoud, revealed that the Nile State was the first to bring the battle of Karama to the media when the national media was disrupted and the military media was partially stopped when the battle broke out last April.
He said that the national television started broadcasting from the city of Atbara before moving to the city of Port Sudan, and that the armed forces radio started broadcasting after the start of the battle from the city of Shendi.
The commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in Shindi, Major General Hamdan Abdel Qader Dawoud, said during his meeting with the media delegation, which included foreign media and media from the localities of Shendi and Al-Matama in the VIP room of the division, that the media on the Nile is like the pillar of the national media and represents the first line of defense in the battle of Karama.
Major General Hamdan Abdel Qader praised the media coming from Khartoum in all forms of media work, which represented a strong impetus for the Nile media and led the work alongside the local media.
He said that the media tribe faced all the disinformation, division and targeting operations carried out by the enemy media, which found what they were looking for in the fake media and tried to plant their poisonous arrows in the chests of the people.
The commander of the third division expressed his thanks and gratitude for the great role played by the national media in combating the aggression through their greatest role in the battle of Karama, and the Nile media played a leading role in this media field.
It is worth noting that Sudanese radio is based in the city of Atbara.
The Director of Orientation at the General Command of the Armed Forces, Major General Mamoun, praised the role played by the media in Shendi and indicated that he would transfer the experience of Shendi to a number of states, including the idea of the Dignity Forum, which dealt with the Battle of Dignity and its effects in its economic, social, cultural and military aspects.
