The Commissioner General for Humanitarian Assistance in Kassala State, Mr. Idris Ali Muhammad, has confirmed that the provision of humanitarian assistance to the displaced people in East Jazira and Tamboul is on the list of promised priorities by the commissioner during his meeting with the voluntary initiatives. He noted the arrangements made to distribute quantities of flour to shelters and to people displaced outside shelters. The Commissioner announced his support for the voluntary return project proposed by the Humanitarian Aid Commission in Sennar State and intends to implement it in coordination with relevant authorities. For his part, Deputy Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid in Sennar Al-Nour Sultan said that the meeting discussed a number of programs targeting displaced people from the state, including humanitarian aid and return voluntary in the established localities. He confirmed that the number of displaced people arriving in Kassala reached (14,470). He praised the role of displaced people.
