Citizens have complained about the reluctance of the Consulate of the Republic of India in Port Sudan to issue entry visas to Sudanese wishing to travel to India, which has raised many questions regarding the changing conditions for the worst at the Indian Consulate, which distinguished itself in processing and simplifying procedures for the Sudanese.

People in contact with the consulate have complained about the complexity of obtaining a visa due to new procedures that the consulate suddenly put in place, which helped create an opportunity for many accepted Sudanese students to study in Indian universities, in addition to the deteriorating health of Patients seeking treatment in Indian hospitals and eyewitnesses have reported deaths among patients due to the delay and link between granting a visa and a new procedure linked to the presentation of a letter confirming that the disease is difficult to treat in Sudan. said: There are those who started the procedures of traveling for treatment and got approval from a hospital in India, but they were surprised by the new procedure, and they added: Some patients have doses of cancer treatment that have been delayed, and there are patients whose hearts have died due to the slowness of the Indian consulate.

They confirmed that many students have lost the opportunity to study due to the delay, among other things, and that a number of students are complaining about the closure of scholarship opportunities offered by the Cultural Council of India to Sudanese.

Citizens called on the Indian Embassy to intervene and resolve the issue, and ask the consulate to simplify visa procedures and take into account the conditions of Sudanese patients and students.
