Counter-smuggling foils attempt to smuggle large quantities of banned drugs and materials into Nile State
In a qualitative operation, forces of the Nile State Anti-Smuggling Department were able to seize large quantities of prohibited and dangerous materials, including (96,000) Captagon tablets, (890) grams of narcotic powder, (104). bags of copper scrap, and (70) bags of briquettes, (80) bags (thiourea) and quantities of prohibited creams.
Acting Director General of Customs Forces, Major General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, praised the achievements made by the anti-smuggling forces, commending their vigilance and efficiency in the face of threats to the security and economy of the nation .
Major General Yasser Siddiq Mohamed Ahmed, Deputy Director General for Counter-Smuggling, also expressed appreciation for the remarkable efforts made by the Nile State Counter-Smuggling Department, stressing that this operation represents a qualitative addition to the ongoing successes achieved by Customs. forces to fight against smuggling.
Brigadier General Adam Omar Sabeel reported that the operation resulted in the seizure of (7) vehicles, including a box truck, noting that his forces took all necessary legal measures, noting that this operation is part of the part of ongoing efforts to combat the phenomenon of smuggling. which threatens the security and stability of the country.
Customs force media reports that this seizure reflects the considerable efforts made by the customs forces to combat smuggling in all its forms and strengthen economic and social security, ensuring the protection of the citizen and the nation against dangers.
