Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Ambassador to Sudan Meets Industry Minister, Discusses Industrial Cooperation and Investment Opportunities
As part of strengthening bilateral and brotherly relations between the Sudanese and Saudi people, a meeting was held today in Port Sudan between His Excellency the Saudi Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jaafar and the Minister of Industry, Prof. Mahasin Ali Yaqoub. During the meeting, ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries and open new horizons for future projects contributing to economic development were discussed.
The Saudi ambassador expressed optimism about increasing trade between the two countries, stressing the importance of convening the joint ministerial committee between Sudan and Saudi Arabia in the near future, to strengthen cooperation in various economic areas. He also said the meeting was a great time. agreement regarding the development of economic relations and the implementation of future investment projects.
For her part, the Minister of Industry confirmed that the meeting addressed several important subjects, notably the strengthening of industrial cooperation between the two countries, as well as the exchange of experiences and training in industrial fields. Joint investments were also discussed, particularly in the areas of agricultural industrialization and food security, in addition to major projects related to infrastructure and manufacturing industries which should contribute to the development of the economies of both countries.
The minister added: “We also discussed the importance of convening the joint economic committee between the two countries, which will constitute a platform to unify efforts and accelerate the implementation of joint projects, so as to contribute to realizing the interests of both countries. and develop their economic sectors.
In the same context, Saudi Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Jaafar confirmed that the meeting was marked by a congruence of visions between the two parties and that there was an agreement to work seriously on the implementation of the projects discussed, particularly with regard to manufacturing industries and the increase in the number of projects. the volume of intra-community trade. He also expressed hope that these steps will mark the beginning of a new phase of fruitful cooperation between Sudan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
