Dalqo Executive Attends Inauguration of Standard Watery Diarrhea Treatment Workshop
This morning, in the local hall of Dalqo, the executive director, Mr. Mudassir Sharaf Al-Din, and in the presence of the director of the health affairs department of the locality, Mr. Abu Al-Qasim Ahmed, the directors of the departments and units of the locality, and others attended the inauguration of the workshop on the standard treatment of watery diarrhea. The course is aimed at medical directors of health centers and hospitals in the various local units of Dalqo – Al-Baraka – Team.
For his part, the executive director of Dalgo locality said that such workshops are particularly important in light of the critical circumstances of the spread of cholera in some localities of the state and Sudan in general. He spoke about the importance of medical assistants and medical directors to deal with such outbreaks before, during and after the disease by educating the community on the danger of cholera prevention and how to deal with it properly in accordance with health and medical requirements.
He pointed out that a set of measures have been planned with the local health affairs department to keep the locality free of cholera. He spoke about local efforts to take a set of measures represented by monitoring and equipping isolation centers in Al. -Taraa and Al-Baraka hospitals and a team, in addition to a campaign to sanitize the environment and disease vectors in the countryside. The campaign began in all local units, starting with Al-Baraka, then Dalqo and a team. The campaign will continue until all local areas and sheikhdoms are covered, in addition to the mining markets and mines. The campaign was launched in the Shadda and 625 markets, taking a set of measures to continue cleaning and spraying work in both areas. The sections of Yaraqi and Al-Rashay will be closed to allow health workers to do their work. They worked by paying attention to local roads, monitoring food vending locations, paying attention to spraying, general cleanliness and health education. unit health offices, and talked about the danger and speed of the spread of the disease, especially in places where food is sold.
He explained that attention should be paid to purifying water with chlorine and raising awareness on how to use it in homes, water stations and water transport sources to mining areas, with the need to have a health monitor on site. the importance of the workshop in preventing the spread of diseases and hopes that this period of epidemics and diseases will end and that it will be an emergency period that will require immediate treatments after the end. During this period, plans will be made to deal with such epidemics.
At the end of his speech, he expressed his hope that the locality would be free from watery diarrhea and expressed his thanks for all the efforts made by the health workers in the locality.
It is worth noting that the workshop will address the topics of the epidemiological situation in the state, methods of sample collection and treatment protocol, preventive measures in healthcare institutions, in addition to the requirements for isolation centers.
