Darfur Bar Association…racism in the law!! – Budgets – ✍️ Al-Tayeb Al-Makabrabi
Since its establishment in the era of salvation until the present day, despite the occurrence of a number of changes and the emergence of many variables, the Darfur Bar Association has continued to follow an approach, which is to approach all cases and subjects from a single angle, look at each case with a single eye and classify all cases on a racial basis…
This group does not address any of the issues and does not intervene or comment, except on issues relating to Darfur as a region, or the people of Darfur as a group, or any of the sons and daughters of Darfur individually, and this alone is sufficient to classify this entity as a racist entity…
This body had previously raised many issues from the sole point of view of race, which it had undertaken to defend through its earlier statements about the Kanabi population in Gezira State, and it had become part of the fabric of that state only because some of them were from Gezira State. Darfur, and that was how it dealt with the issues.
A few days ago, this organization issued a statement in which it claimed that the authorities of the Nile State arrested two or more young men in the Hurra and Al-Katiab area only because they came from Darfur and from the town of Nyala in particular!!!
The statement contained many accusations and approached the issue from the angle that this organization knows how to play, which is the angle of racism that has provided this country with the resources for destruction…
The Nile authorities and other state authorities are responsible for pursuing and tracking anyone suspected of belonging to or cooperating with the rebel militia. They have arrested and investigated many people from the same state and other states and it has not been raised or treated as a racist act except when it comes to some Darfurians!!
The Darfur Bar Association is an entity whose members work as lawyers, and therefore people of law, and their concern has become to use this law in order to defend a Sudanese element, whether good or bad. an entity that legalizes racism instead of using the law to combat this disease…
It is not known or documented that this entity was and still is one of the dilemmas of this country and one of the fragments of its social fabric by approaching issues from angles that only sow division and diaspora and categorize the people of this country on an ethnic basis.
If there is anything we hope and expect from this entity, it is that it announces its dissolution in order to avoid new tensions and new stirrings of hatred and conflicts on a racial basis, and if they check before that if there is an entity similar to theirs in Sudan, so that they know that they were wrong and then return to the right thing…
God was helping everyone
