Dr. Hazar Abdel Rasoul, Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Engineer Nahid Mohamed Nahid, Chairman of the Darfur Youth Authority, and members of the executive board,
Monday at Al-Busiri Hotel in Port Sudan,
This meeting was part of a series of meetings organized by the Authority with the official institutions of the country with the aim of coordinating and enlightening the parties concerned on the tasks of the Authority and its future project.
Dr. Hazar stressed the importance of the role of youth in the current phase the country is going through, praising the effective role played by the Darfur Youth Authority in supporting the armed forces and activating the role of popular resistance in the region. He also focused on the need to monitor, document and publicize violations at the local and international levels in order to raise public awareness.
Hazar stressed the importance of arousing patriotic sentiment among young people, pointing out that the ministry has adopted the Darfur Youth Authority projects aimed at strengthening national loyalty. She added that she has led the design and implementation of projects contributing to the development of patriotic sentiment among young people and activating their role in combating any aggression that threatens the security of the country.
For his part, Engineer Naheed Mohamed Naheed indicated that the meeting discussed the role of the Authority, its objectives and its participation in its programs, calling on the Minister of Youth and Sports to show solidarity and consultation on youth and sports issues, welcoming the role of young people and the support of the Authority to enable them to meet the challenges of future generations.
