Director of Al-Obeid Hospital: The intelligence service is a strategic partner in the development of the health system
Director General of Al-Obeid University Hospital in North Kordofan State, Dr. Muzamil Ahmed Mohamed Al-Safi, revealed that the State General Security and Intelligence Service has become a strategic partner in the strengthening of the health system after its clearly visible interventions in modernizing and cleaning up the general environment of Al-Obeid Hospital and maintaining and rehabilitating the intensive care department of the hospital, as well as the response of the director of the general service of state intelligence, Al-Awad Muhammad Al-Awad, at the initiative of state journalists to advocate for health issues related to the implementation of a day of environmental sanitation and to the rehabilitation of the ophthalmological department of Al-Obeid hospital.
Al-Safi said that the General Intelligence Service of North Kordofan has completely rehabilitated the ophthalmological service, so that it returns to the therapeutic service stronger than ever.
Muzamil confirmed that the agency has started the actual implementation steps and, for our part, we have handed over all the requirements to the head of the agency for monitoring the project (the eye hospital) and we are waiting for a immediate implementation according to the method known to the security apparatus to deal with strategic issues.
In this context, Al-Safi explained that health issues in this difficult period in the life of the Sudanese State and North Kordofan State in particular require national awareness and integration of roles among all public institutions of the state, as well as from the country's charitable organizations. SO health establishments (private health establishments) have started (in competition) to pay for the services of specialists, their deputies and middle managers, who originally work at Al-Obeid University Hospital.
Observers mentioned that “brokers” have emerged on the surface to lure patients to certain private health facilities in exchange for “commissions” or clandestine incentives.
