Discussions between Gedaref and the Authority railways to restart the national line and create a new path outside the city
The governor of Al -Qadarif, head of Lieutenant -General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan Ahmed, has today received a delegation from the Sudan railway authority, directed by the Director General of Authority, Eng. Musa al -qahdi.
The two parties organized a joint session for conferences which dealt with a certain number of problems and problems linked to the return of the railway which links the States of the East, the Center and the West of the country through the Gownorate of Gedaref.
The two parties discussed the means of eliminating obstacles on sixty rue de la Ville de Gedaref, the present of the state and the percentage of land reservations to distribute the roads on both sides of the road and other relevant problems.
For his part, the Governor of Al -Qadarif confirmed his government’s commitment with all that which follows to implement the agreement which will be concluded by the joint technical committee between the State and the Authority.
And he called for the creation of a new path so that the railway passes in front of the city of Gedaref, as well as the creation of a passenger and travelers station outside the city according to the latest civilizational specifications.
He stressed the importance of the railway line by linking states to each other alongside its role in the connection of production zones to markets and export ports to the service of the national economy.
For his part, the Director General of Sudan Railways Authority described the session of their discussions with the government of Gedaref as being successful and fruitful in which a joint vision has been reached to serve the state and the authority.
Noting that consultation sessions through the joint technical committee will continue until the final formula is signed by Mr. Al -Wali and the Director General of Authority.
