During the conference of the countries of Lake Sudan, it presents its plan to develop the metal sector and confirms its preparation for regional cooperation

The Director General of the General Authority for Geological Research, the geology of Ahmed Haroun Al -Tom, the Minister of Minerals, Nourred Adaen Taha, will present the official speech of Sudan at the Conference of Ministers for minerals for the Great Lakes, held in the Congolese capital under the name of Nashasa, Friday, July 31.
Al -Tom has declared in press statements that the discourse will examine the main achievements of Sudan in the field of mining industries and the opportunities available to attract investments, in a strategic vision aimed at converting Sudan into a regional center in the field of minerals.
He added that the Minister will present during meetings of the Sudan Plan to improve joint cooperation with the countries of the region in the fields of the negotiation of metallic products, geological research and exploration and the sustainable exploitation of natural resources, by adopting regulations and legislation agreed between participating countries.
Al -Tom stressed that the fight against mineral smuggling beyond the borders will be one of the most important axes that Sudan will present, in the light of the challenges that neighboring countries face in this file, stressing the importance of regional coordination to ensure the equitable distribution of resources and increase economic yields.
The director general of the authority confirmed that the Minister of Mineraux would hold a number of bilateral meetings with ministers and officials participating in the conference, to present future plans in Sudan to develop the mining sector and carry out technical and investment partnerships, in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy and improving stability in the region.
