Electronic and technical education..a basic pillar for a comprehensive educational transformation in Sudan – Something for the homeland – ✍️ Mr. Salah Ghariba
The world is witnessing radical transformations in all areas, including education, which has become increasingly dependent on modern technologies and digital means. In this context, the emphasis placed by the Federal Minister of Education on the importance of online learning and the pace of technological development highlights the need to move towards a more flexible and efficient education system.
E-learning is not just an option, but rather an urgent necessity that keeps pace with the demands of the digital age. It provides equal educational opportunities for all and allows the educational process to be personalized to meet the needs of each student. It also improves critical thinking, creativity and collaboration skills, essential for the future job market.
However, the issue is not limited to e-learning alone, but must also include technical education. Technical education forms the basis for the development of industry and the economy and provides the qualified personnel the country needs to build its future. Interest in technical education means investing in human capital, which is an investment with guaranteed returns.
The importance of integrating electronic and technical education into the education system in order to keep pace with technological development, to help prepare generations capable of dealing with modern technologies and innovation, and to increase the educational effectiveness, by providing an interactive and stimulating educational environment. for learning and providing employment opportunities, training qualified executives for the labor market and its demands, and developing the economy, supporting industry and small and medium-sized businesses, for social justice and providing equal educational opportunities for all.
Some of the challenges facing the implementation of electronic and technical education in Sudan include lack of infrastructure due to lack of high-speed internet in all regions, lack of devices due to lack of digital devices necessary for online learning, the lack of trained staff, the lack of teachers trained in the use of modern technologies and the insistence on relying on traditional education with the presence of resistance to change on the part of some teachers and students.
Proposals to develop electronic and technical education in Sudan, by providing infrastructure, investing in internet networks and providing digital devices to schools, training teachers by organizing intensive training programs for teachers on the use of modern technologies, developing school curricula by updating school curricula to include digital and technical skills, and the need to collaborate with the private sector in cooperation with businesses to provide technology and training programs, and to support and encourage scientific research in the field of electronic and technical education.
The transition to electronic and technical education is not easy, but it is an urgent necessity to build a better future for Sudan. By investing in education, we are investing in the future of our next generations.
We can benefit from the renaissance of artistic and technical education in Egypt in terms of the availability of technological universities and specialized technical institutes, in addition to intensive research in this area.
In conclusion, e-learning and technical education are two fundamental pillars of a comprehensive educational transformation in Sudan. Through the combined efforts of government, the private sector and civil society, we can achieve this transformation and transform Sudan into an advanced country in education and technology.
