Executive director of Shendi locality launches livestock vaccination and treatment campaign with support from FAO
The Executive Director of Shendi locality, Mr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, launched the campaign of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to vaccinate and treat livestock under the supervision of the United Nations Peace Organization, in the presence of the Director of the General Directorate of Livestock and the representative of the Ministry of Wealth.

The Executive Director praised the great efforts of the Peace and Development Organization and its pioneering role in community service, in addition to owning the goat project for vulnerable families, Khaled said that this project goes a long way in helping families. The Executive Director charged the Department of Animal Welfare and Social Affairs to carefully investigate the selection of families, taking into account justice in distribution according to specified standards, and stressed the importance of monitoring and project evaluation.
While the project coordinator, Ms. Rumaisa Al-Sheikh, said that the project targets 50,000 heads for the localities of Shendi and Al-Mutama and includes 7 types of vaccination and medicines, Ms. Rumaisa announced the distribution of the project of possession of goats to 180 people. families, with 5 goats for each family, she said, this project is part of the organization's desire and its emergency response to the war to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
