Experts: Shendi University overcame the war crisis by continuing its academic activities and operating its medical and health institutions

A number of experts said that Shendi University managed to overcome the war crisis and its negative effects on higher education by taking a number of measures and procedures that proved effective in achieving the desired objective.

Experts who spoke at a workshop titled (Quality is a Lifestyle) on the occasion of World Quality Day, including Dr. Salah Saad and Dr. Hashim Awad, confirmed that Professor Al -Shukri and Dr. Ounsa Muhammad Abdullah confirmed that the measures taken by the university were very effective in continuing the studies and other activities carried out by the university.

Experts listed these measures, including suspending certain regulations, using necessary flexibility in enforcing laws, reducing work and study days to three days, benefiting from online learning and remotely and the presence of workers near the university.

Salah Saad, head of quality in Nile State, said quality means continuous improvement in the level of results in higher education and other services.

Dr. Salah Saad emphasized that crises in Sudan are managed by the most important person or individual. The first or legal personality without adhering to or complying with known crisis management standards

. Dr. Hashim Awad explained that some private universities were trying to exhaust students, taking advantage of war conditions with high tuition fees. Some universities even transferred their studies outside Sudan, which financially drained families.

The representative of the executive director of Shendi locality and director of quality management of the locality, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Saad, said that many countries have benefited from the crises they have experienced in terms of development, reconstruction and of construction. And the integrated rebirth.

He expressed hope that Sudan would benefit from this crisis and emerge stronger and more resilient than before the war.

The director of Shendi University, Dr., confirmed. Hassan Awad Al-Karim Ali said that the most important factor in dealing with crises is the unification of the domestic front.

He said that he had been able to absorb the biggest crisis he faced at the beginning of his tenure as university administration, namely the workers' strike which lasted for about (75) days due to of the delay in the payment of financial benefits from the federal government, by working together to obtain the benefits, and without harming the student staff of the university.

He said the biggest challenge facing the university was to operate hospitals, medical and health centers and provide medicines and medical supplies, and the university administration had managed to provide medicines, especially for patients with kidney diseases.

Dr. Hassan Awad Al-Karim highlighted that the flexibility taken by the university had a positive impact on the continuation of studies and the provision of services to the university's medical and health institutions.

For his part, Chairman of the Council of Shendi University, Engineer Al-Mu'nasim Ibrahim, said that Shendi University has taken quality and excellence as the mechanism and path for its main axes: education, scientific research and community service.
