Extending international support for Sudan, China provides humanitarian aid to war-affected people
As part of its continued efforts to stand with the government and people of Sudan, the Humanitarian Aid Commission has launched shipments of humanitarian aid provided by the People's Republic of China, consisting of (1,200) tonnes of rice , to a number of states in Sudan. to help those affected by the war waged by the terrorist militia Rapid Support against the country.
For his part, Professor Salwa Adam Beniya, Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, indicated in joint press statements with the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of China in Sudan, Mr. Zhan Qianhua, that the cargo contains rice supplied by China. She indicated that this is not the first time that China has provided aid to Sudan, and indicated that this is a first amount of (1,200) tonnes distributed to all states, including the safe areas of Darfur.
Salwa renewed his accusation against the rebel Rapid Support militia of deliberately preventing aid from reaching those in need and using it as a weapon of war, highlighting the government's commitment to providing aid to people affected. Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Salwa called on the international community to take clear action against the militias' intention to prevent the arrival of humanitarian aid, and stressed that there is no of famine in Sudan given the abundant production of crops and cereals during this period. seasonal, as well as the continued arrival of humanitarian aid from brotherly and friendly countries.
Salwa praised China's honorable positions towards Sudan in international forums, alongside Russia, Pakistan and other countries playing a role in providing aid to Sudan.
In the same context, Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sudan, Zhan Xian, said that China always stands by Sudan, indicating that it will continue to provide support and assistance, noting that the two countries enjoyed historic relations and expressing hope that security and peace will be established in Sudan.
The Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy explained that this aid targets different states and will be followed in the near future by other aid to alleviate the suffering of Sudanese citizens. He stressed that Sudan is a brotherly and close country to China.
