Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim and his accompanying delegation reviewed the evolving health situation in the northern state. The visit included Al-Daman Hospital, Marawi University and Military Hospital, Karima and Nafeer Al-Afia Hospital, Qatari Al-Wefaq Hospital, Al-Dabbah, Al-Kurd Health Center and Al-Ghaba Hospital.

The minister and the accompanying delegation witnessed the opening of many health institutions and departments, including Nafeer Al-Afia Hospital in Karima, the intensive, intermediate and nursery care departments, the expansion of the emergency department, the microbiology laboratory, surgical endoscopy devices, ear, nose and throat endoscopes and the ultrasound machine at the Qatari Al-Wefaq Hospital, in addition to the opening of the dental and orthopedic surgery department, the renal center at Al-Dabba Hospital, the emergency department at Al-Ghaba Hospital and the dialysis health center and a visit to the Kurdish region health center.

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, has stressed the need to provide assistance and support to the people of the northern state, stressing the need to maintain health services in hospitals and health centers.

The minister also stressed during the celebration of the opening of the Nafeer Al-Afia Hospital for Women and Obstetrics in the city of Karima, in the presence of the Governor of the Northern State, Abdeen Awadallah, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Acting Minister of Health, Dr. Sati Hassan Sati, and a number of state leaders stressed the need to work and benefit from the great popular effort. The horn has deeply rooted meanings in the Sudanese consciousness and has meanings in Sharia and religion. .

The minister praised the youth of Nafeer Al-Afia, adding that the reconstruction of Sudan after the war depends on them, wishing a speedy victory for the people's armed forces and announcing his support in the amount of 25 million pounds to complete the gaps in the hospital, and an amount of 20 million pounds for the oncology center and 5 million pounds for the Hajja Amna Saeed washing center in the locality of Al-Dabba, Al-Ghaba unit.

The minister stressed the importance of the supervision and monitoring process, strengthening the logistics information system, drug control and increasing monitoring and evaluation, as well as intensive supervision of hospitals and health centers and determining the real needs of drugs through periodic reports to avoid drug shortages, declaring the ministry's commitment to addressing the shortage of equipment and devices.

During his inspection of health institutions, he stressed the importance of making maximum use of available resources, working with greater capacity and introducing all specialties, noting their efforts to strengthen the nationalization packages of health services in the states, explaining that the state benefited from expatriate medical personnel, especially rare specialties.

The minister promised to overcome the difficulties and provisions of field interventions, to increase the effectiveness of the response, and all that needs to be done in terms of localizing free treatment for kidney patients, by revealing the availability of dialysis.

The acting governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah Muhammad, revealed the integration of efforts at the popular and government levels, expressing his satisfaction with this achievement, thanking the youth of Al-Nafeer, stressing the dissemination of the idea of ​​Al-Nafeer in all localities of the state, highlighting the work to overcome the obstacles and challenges that hinder the progress of the provision of medical services, once again the efforts of his government with the Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministry of State. of Health, partners and supporters to advance the health sector in the state.

Governor Abdeen said that the visit of the federal delegation contributed to highlighting the role of the government in paying attention to the health sector and monitoring the progress of work in health facilities, appreciating the great role of the Federal Ministry of Health during the previous period.

For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Northern State, Minister-designate Dr. Satti Hassan Satti said that human health in the northern state is one of the government's priorities, adding that the opening of Nafeer Al-Afiya Hospital was a dream and today it has become a reality that supports the ministry's plans to pay attention to maternal and family health. child health, announcing the launch of the Nafeer Al-Afiya Hospital's post-accident rehabilitation, stressing that the visit of the Federal Minister of Health. The accompanying delegation will continue to support the health sector in the state.
