Federal Ministry of Communications provides equipment worth $1 million to the Northern Information Center
The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, met this morning in his office with the Minister of Investment and Industry in charge of the Northern State, Omar Mohamed Saleh, in the presence of the Secretary General of the State Government, Mr. Awad Al-Karim Rabie, and the Director of the Information Center, Engineer Fatah Mohamed Ibrahim.
The governor was briefed on the devices and equipment received by the Federal Ministry of Communications.
Acting Minister of Investment and Industry, Omar Muhammad, said in a statement that the Ministry of Communications provided communication equipment to the Northern Information Centre, following the visit by the Federal Minister of Communications engineer Adel Hassan, who examined the needs of the center and resolved the problems he faced after the decommissioning of the National Information Center.
He said that the Ministry of Investment and Industry has rehabilitated its center to receive information related to the Ministry of Investment.
He said the government secretariat, led by the governor, had started preparing the center of the state to connect the seven localities, ministries and government offices.
The Minister of Investment announced the creation of two geographically dispersed information centers in order to have additional equipment that can be used in all aspects of life.
He explained that the cost of the devices and equipment is estimated at one million dollars.
