Floods cause disruption of national road at kilometers 597, 34 and 36 of Nawa Dongola road

Northern Governor Abdeen Awadallah was briefed during his meeting with the state's Humanitarian Relief Commissioner Dr Abdul Rahman Ali Khairy,

On the ongoing arrangements made by the Commission to intervene in areas affected by rains and floods,

The state governor listened to Tanweer speak about the damage caused by heavy rains today in the localities of Dongola, Al-Gold, Marawi and Al-Dabba.

The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner noted in a statement after the meeting that the national road at kilometer 597, kilometer 34 and kilometer 36 on Nawa Dongola road had been washed away by the floods.

He also pointed out that about nine thousand houses have completely collapsed due to the rain and torrential rains.

Dr Abdul Rahman stressed the need for urgent interventions by the state organizations in the field of food aid and shelter to mitigate the impact of these rains and torrential downpours.
