From rubble to leadership: graduates of the College of Public Health direct the emine of the EMAAR of the University of Khartoum ..! – #other dimension – ✍️ Musab birr
After the release of Khartoum, a rare humanitarian and national painting was drawn at the Faculty of Public Health and Environmental Health at the University of Khartoum, where generations of graduates and students inside and outside Sudan fell to write an epic in the love of the country and carry out the institution they produced. The initiative was launched with personal effects and a tight organization, bearing the slogan “Reconstruction of the college … WAFA and Don”, to be an inspiring model for the collective spirit and the ability of Sudanese to transform pain into hope.
The success of the first stage of the initiative was remarkable and influential; The arenas of the colleges have transformed into an open workshop which included hundreds of volunteers of students, graduates and members of society, who worked in parallel with the elimination of rubble, waste and remains of war. These efforts were not limited to cleaning the corridors and rooms, but also included the restoration of life with green spaces and the restoration of the restoration of dilapidated infrastructure. Everyone welcomed this work, which has shown that the spirit of initiative and solidarity is always alive in the hearts of the people of Sudan.
With the completion of the first step successfully, the second stage of the initiative was launched under the supervision of a specialized coordination committee, to include the rehabilitation of buildings, mural painting, rooms and offices in a way that reflects the identity of the college and its academic brightness. Many graduates abroad have taken financial support and in them to accelerate the implementation of this stage, in confirmation that belonging to the institution is not limited to distances.
As for the third step, the characteristics of which have started to appear, it is a question of re-rince the college and to provide it with the latest devices and laboratories available to follow the requirements of modern education and scientific research. This stage will restore the college its role as a pioneer in the diploma of qualified executives to support the Sudanese health system at this critical stage.
What has been achieved so far is a testimony that young energies and accumulated experiences are able to do miracles whenever the will is available. Consequently, the initiative will launch an open call to all graduates and those who are interested in public health inside and outside Sudan to join this great effort, whether by participation in the field, financial support or even technical advice.
The epic of the reconstruction of the College of Public Health and Environmental Health is not only a project of reform, but a message of hope and renewal of the time when the construction of the country starts from its educational establishments, and that the hands of Sudanese, when they are intertwined, are able to convert the rubble into scientists of science and donations.
