Gaza between the silence of governments and the voice of peoples: what is more true for humanity? Hijazia Muhammad Saeed

Since the brutal Israeli attack on Gaza started, barely a day has passed without hearing about a new massacre, blood and children who are removed from the rubble. Despite this horrible scene that shakes human conscience, most Arab governments are satisfied with the silence or traditional denunciation data that do not get worse or sing hunger.

Gaza today does not need empty words or protocol data, but rather blood bleeding. However, the official Arab position remains absent, as if the question no longer concerned them. The Arab Street saw its hesitant leaders, putting their political accounts above humanitarian considerations, until the deficit became a familiar scene. It is the greatest failure, when the Palestinians see that the closest people leave them alone in the face of the Israeli war machine.

On the other hand, hundreds of thousands of Western peoples have come out in massive demonstrations, raising the flag of Palestine and singing the Gaza Navy. They were not combined with religion, race or geography, but the human values that reject injustice gathered them. They have proven that human conscience has no homeland, and that justice is not measured by borders or politics, but rather the position on oppressed.

The scenes of the western streets full of demonstrators of different breeds and religions have become a slap on the faces of silent Arab governments, as if the West reminded the Arabs themselves their responsibilities towards the question of more than seventy years.

Israel continues to bomb him, confident that there is no Arab deterrence to stand before him, and that the most to which he can be confronted is a denunciation or cold calls which cannot find his way of implementing. This official silence is what encourages the occupation to persist, because it knows that the word alone does not stop a shell and that the dispersed political position does not protect the life of a person.

The scene today puts the whole nation before a historical responsibility. If the peoples of the West come out with hundreds of thousands of solidarities with Gaza, when it is the Arab and Islamic peoples are the people closest to the problem, are you satisfied to look behind the screens?

It is time for the Arab and Islamic street to move in full force, to fill the squares and the streets, raising the voice of the truth, calling for the cessation of the attack and stressing that Palestine is not alone. Popular demonstrations do not drop the missiles, but they fall the silence of governments and put them before their responsibilities, and receive a message in the world that

Gaza today is not only a bombed city or a besieged land. It is rather a mirror that reveals our truth.

It is time to realize that our silence does not protect our dignity and that our separation only serves the occupation. If the Western peoples came out to say “no to injustice” for Palestine, then we are more important to say them with the highest voice and to translate them into an action in squares and squares, in pressure on governments, and a unity worthy of a nation affirming the concerns of Jerusalem, Gaza and Al -Aqsa.

Palestine is not the question of Palestinians alone, but rather the question of all Arabs and Muslims, but rather the question of each person who believes in justice and freedom. The blood of the children of Gaza who fills the screens today will remain a witness to those who have held and silence, and anyone has led his duty and who is a failure.

Gaza does not ask for the impossible, but not only requires not leaving alone and hearing the sound of her nation behind him. Do we fail it again or are ourselves to prove that Palestine always lives our hearts and that Arab and Islamic dignity is not yet dead?
