General Intelligence Service Law and amended articles ✍️ Absher Shajarabi

*Security is everyone's business* A phrase repeated by old and young people, which testifies to the population's awareness of the nation's major issues.

In recent days, the law on the General Intelligence Service has been amended and we, as observers, have the responsibility to reflect, inform and enlighten citizens.

Greetings, appreciation, respect and congratulations to the people of Sudan for the return of the powers of the General Intelligence Service, which have been taken away since the year (2019).

The country has reached this situation of deterioration in all aspects of life due to the absence of the powers of the General Intelligence Service and it has become necessary to collect and analyze information.

Now that the necessary amendments have been approved and the security apparatus has regained its stolen powers, Sudan will be able to face all the threats and dangers surrounding it from all sides.

Security is the security, safety and stability of the country in economic, political, border security, social security, counter-espionage and espionage.

The amendments included section (25) of the General Security and Intelligence Service Act and gave powers to the Director of General Intelligence, who delegated them to members.

This law arouses widespread controversy. Is this an attack on individual freedoms?

What are the rights of citizens?

The law, just as the Director of Intelligence had this right, also gave this right to the citizen.

The matter is not left to those concerned, but there are procedures for questioning and investigation, there is the possibility of parliamentary scrutiny and there is no interference or infringement of personal and public liberties.

The General Intelligence Service, in light of this development, and the benefits returned to its members confer upon it the right to investigate, search, arrest and detain in accordance with the powers of the Director General.

Before the powers were returned to the agency, unfortunately, Sudan has since 2019 become an open zone and a theater of espionage, arms trade and the presence of the worst criminals in the world, and there is a deliberate absence of law.

The law will play a major role in people's livelihood and the economy and put things back on track through economic security and its treatment through the database it has and the vast experience in the fight against weak souls, the greed of traders, speculation in free currencies and the weakening of the economy. This will necessarily have an impact on the citizen and progress will occur.

There is the fight against crime and terrorism in light of the current circumstances, especially the terrorism of the Daglo and mercenaries that a number of countries bring to Sudan as fighters in the ranks of the rebels and human trafficking humans, and after the return of power. , the agency will fully play its role in protecting the country.

There is also coordination and cooperation between the agency and the public prosecutor's office in the cases and charges brought against those who undermined the constitution, agents and collaborators of the rebels.

We will come back
