Geological Research Authority begins the second stage in the rehabilitation of its infrastructure in Khartoum

The general authority of geological research began to implement the second phase of its infrastructure rehabilitation plan in the state of Khartoum, within the framework of integrated efforts to improve the preparation of its technical and administrative facilities and modernize the work environment.

The authority revealed that the specialized engineering teams are directly restored and prepared, because current activities include the completion of specific engineering works linked to the service and the technical structure of the head office. The Information Technology Committee began to install solar energy systems and surveillance cameras and temporarily bind them at the siege of the Sudan port, in preparation for the establishment of an integrated permanent information network.

In the same context, a technical and joint engineering team began to assess the state of construction of buildings using the techniques of the site and the laboratory analysis in what is known as (criminal engineering) in order to ensure the harshness of the structures and the security of the main tower, one of the most important assets of the authority in capital.

In the same consideration, a specialized team of surveying and monitoring operations of lost mobile assets continues, including vehicles of missions and heavy mechanisms, as part of the inventory of assigned or disappeared as a result of previous events.

These measures are based on the recommendations of the asset and control committee in the state of Khartoum, which stressed the importance of accelerating rehabilitation efforts and ensuring the restoration of the organizational operation of the organization.

In its declaration, the Commission confirmed its commitment to pursue catering and modernization operations within the framework of a complete national plan to rebuild the technical institutions of the State, in a manner which improves its role in the support of the mining and geological investment sector in Sudan.
