Governor of Nile State: 100 billion to deal with the cholera epidemic – Minister of Health commits to rehabilitating the state's health institutions

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, has commended the efforts of the River State Governor in stabilizing the situation, especially the health services, commending the governor’s wise leadership and ambitious drive.

Haitham pledged to rehabilitate health institutions in the state, explaining that the main purpose of his visit was to conduct an on-the-ground review of service delivery and opening of some health projects in the state. 'State.

This happened during his meeting with the Governor of Nile State, Dr. Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdul Majid in the latter's office, in the presence of the Director General of the State Ministry of Health, Minister-designate Dr Magda Abdullah, and the delegation accompanying the Minister, highlighting the need to provide support to operational hospitals.

The minister highlighted the need for joint coordination and work to continue providing health services, revealing the start of magnetic resonance imaging and the opening of the Abdul Hamid Dialysis Center and the Dialysis Department. emergency at Al-Mattama hospital.

The minister said that there are 8 dialysis centers in the state and there are arrangements to open the dialysis center in the near future, highlighting the great development witnessed by Al-Salam University Hospital in Umm Al-Tayur, especially the services of the digestive system. and liver diseases.

The minister explained that one of the objectives of the visit was to review the health and epidemiological situation in Nile State and the response plan to deal with the cholera epidemic.

In this context, the Governor of Nile State, Dr. Muhammad Al-Badawi Abdel Majid, thanked the Federal Health Delegation for the visit, noting that the visits of the Federal Minister of Health always aim to find solutions , adding that crisis management differs from the normal situation, praising the role of partners and medical personnel working in the state.

The governor revealed the granting of 100 billion to deal with the cholera epidemic in the state, explaining the launch of environmental sanitation campaigns in localities, in addition to raising awareness among citizens through work of health promotion, highlighting the state's plan to localize the intravenous fluid industry in the state.

For his part, the State Director General of Health, Dr. Magda Abdullah presented the health situation of the Nile, explaining the efforts made to limit the spread of the cholera epidemic, thanking the Federal Ministry of Health for its interventions and technical and material support.
