In a short interview conducted by Al-Watan newspaper with professor and lawyer Fawzi Hassan, head of the Youth Legal Initiative to Monitor Violations, during which he confirmed that the objective of creating this initiative is to monitor the serious violations and daily killings committed by the rapid support rebel militias against the defenseless citizens at the borders of the Sudanese state, particularly the tight siege of the citizens of El Fasher, the capital of the region Darfur.

Maulana Fawzi said they had sought during the previous period to collect documented information on violations committed by Janjaweed terrorist militias and presented them as evidence to regional and international courts and humanitarian organizations with the aim of imposing sanctions to the Rapid Support Command that committed ethnic acts. massacres in the states of Darfur which fall under their control and rapes of women and children in the states of Gezira, Khartoum and El Geneina.

Stressing that the objective of the initiative at present is to hand over the Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Dakloa, to the International Criminal Court in order to bring justice to the souls of the nation's martyrs, he welcomed the decision rendered by the International Criminal Court. The US Treasury Department will impose sanctions on the head of operations of the rapid support forces, Othman Mohamed “Othman Operations”, and the commander of the rapid support in El Fasher, Ali Yaqoub Jibril.

While Fawzi welcomed the success of the negotiation process during the opening session between the SPLM-North delegation and the Sudanese army delegation regarding the passage of humanitarian aid to war-affected people in South Kordofan, Blue Nile and West Kordofan states.

It is worth noting that the Youth Legal Initiative to monitor violations was established in early 2024 AD in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with the participation of other lawyers, activists and civil society organizations.
