Health Insurance: Fund has started to regain some of its health in several states

The Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim, said that health insurance has started to recover in a number of states and some services have gradually started to operate in many localities.

Dr. Nour Al-Daim added during a meeting at the Shindi Health Insurance Directorate attended by a number of his senior assistants that the Fund is working hard to overcome the financial difficulties and adapt to the security conditions the country is going through in order to provide all health services to citizens.

He stressed that there are states that require special attention, such as Khartoum State, and the health insurance work in these states automatically extends along the security zone in all localities of Khartoum.

He said his recent visit to Khartoum State and meeting with its leaders discussed possibilities of providing health services, especially in Karari and Omdurman localities and some areas of Imbada locality.

He said the Fund provides therapeutic and medical support to some health centers in neighborhoods and regions, such as Al-Maaqeel Health Center, and establishes treatment camps in expatriate accommodation centers.

The Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim, seeks, through internal and external communications, to provide quantities of medicines, treatments and medical supplies to many hospitals in order to meet the urgent needs of all diseases falling within the Fund's coverage area, such as chronic diseases and others.
