Health insurance, the North Kordofan Humanitarian Aid Commission and the genius of thinking outside the box ✍️ Al-Zein Kendwa
- The meeting chaired by the Commissioner of the North Kordofan State Humanitarian Aid Commission, Dr. Muhammad Ismail, with national and international organizations working in the state to determine an intervention map in the localities of state and in the city of El Obeid at this time, I believe this is a more important meeting than ever, and at this very moment the coordination efforts are basically in line with the tasks of the Commission , in coordination with all government agencies to support them.
Presenting the agenda by the chairman of the meeting, it becomes clear to you that there is a practical vision of the Commission with which it wishes to approach things, especially when a question was asked by Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Ismail in which he said: (How do we all work according to a participatory vision??)
He said: “The areas we all want to work on are children under five, identifying families affected by war and those suffering from chronic illnesses, in addition to homes requiring urgent intervention and schools.
Ismail revealed that around 70% of the classrooms are in need of urgent maintenance and that more than 70% of the classrooms have been completely destroyed by the displaced people settled in the schools.
Ismail added in his presentation of the meeting's agenda that there is great fear of a new outbreak of malaria, cholera and dengue in early autumn unless urgent measures are taken. taken, in addition to the spread of malnutrition among neighborhood children. and camps.
He added: “We must, with all organizations, develop an emergency vision for emergency response and develop a road map to help organizations respond in the future in all localities across the state. »
Ismail mentioned in the presentation of his speech that there is a duality that needs to be addressed, namely that there is an inventory of people affected by the war in the different organizations, and that there is data and information with the Commission and the Sudanese Red Crescent. in the state, and in the locality of Shikan as well, it is therefore necessary to collect, unify and analyze all data and (information) to facilitate intervention operations whether in the field of health , education or the displaced themselves. they are in accommodation centers or residential areas.
The meeting summarized the importance of holding a joint meeting including all relevant government organizations and institutions, namely the Ministry of Health, Urban Planning (Water and Environmental Sanitation), Education, Department of Planning of development, agriculture, social affairs and the locality of Shikan, on or before (72 hours from the date of Sunday, corresponding to June 23).
_ It is clear that Dr Muhammad Ismail has a very advanced vision in directing the capabilities of the Commission to fulfill its role of coordinating, planning and evaluating voluntary and humanitarian work, to save what can be saved , and this concept has been clearly demonstrated. when he mentioned to the organizations that there is a recurring problem of treatment for the displaced, those suffering from chronic illnesses and the destitute, and that some organizations want to contribute effectively to the treatment, and sometimes it is difficult to intervene with of the patient. Therefore, to facilitate these procedures, it was proposed to sign an agreement with the Presidency of the North Kordofan State Health Insurance Administration to allocate four health centers in Al-Obeid in which the service can be provided to any person by the organizations at a rate of (35%) ) of the cost that the organizations have to bear to maintain the laboratories and centers whenever necessary.
Of course, this (intelligent) agreement was blessed and welcomed by everyone gathered.
_ In my opinion, this agreement demonstrated the genius of Dr. Khattab Al-Samani Abdeen, Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, as well as the genius of the Commissioner, Dr. Muhammad Ismail, and this thinking is considered completely out of line of the common. box during this difficult time.
Perhaps the method of managing dialogue with organizations and alerting them to the need to network, coordinate and inform each other, also demonstrated the extent of the charisma of effective leadership in the spirit of one team, and voluntary work is certainly based on coordinating efforts and leading with love, and if available, everyone will certainly work according to their duty and basic system, and there will have clear results that he can feel.
