The Minister announced that Sudrn has been restored for the benefit of students and researchers, which is a sign of victory in the Battle of Dignity. He thanked the administrative and technical team of Sudrn Network, the Ministerial General Directorate, the administrative and technical services. the team of the Red Sea University and the administrative and technical team of Sudatel for their intensive efforts to restore the operation of the network.
Dahab stated that Sudatel is a strategic partner for higher education, as it constantly participates and supports electronic services for higher education, which has had a great impact on maximizing the educational services that benefit students and citizens.
For his part, Engineer Dr. Babiker Hussein Ahmed, Executive Director of the Sudren Network, said that the non-profit network provides a stimulating environment for students, professors and researchers, and contributes to enriching research and educational cooperation. leading networks in the Arab and African regions, as it plays an important role in developing education and scientific research, supports e-learning initiatives and promotes innovation in education and technology, stressing that before the war, it offered low-cost services to institutions, as it is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) specializing in meeting the needs of the scientific research and education communities in Sudan, and provides e-learning, cloud computing, scientific research and connectivity, networking, hosting and many other services. It hosted websites, mail, digital repositories, libraries, online learning tools, scientific journals and university examination systems.
In the same context, Dr. Babiker Hussein stressed that the restoration of Sudan in these circumstances comes within the framework of the ministry's serious efforts to restore the infrastructure and electronic services destroyed by the rebel militias.
In this context, Professor Adel Jaafar, Director of the General Department of Information and Communications Technology at Red Sea University, said that restoring the operation of the Sudren network from the Red Sea University data center is a source of pride for the university and the Red Sea State due to its great benefits for the higher education and scientific research sector in Sudan, stressing that restoring the operation of the network will contribute to solving the problems of continuity of online learning services, on which the majority of universities have begun to rely to continue studying in war conditions and will also contribute to the issuance of online university degrees.
