As part of its tireless efforts in the service of the homeland and the citizen, and in light of the war waged by the armed forces against the rapid support militia and its mercenaries, and while all sectors of the state are in the same trench with the army, the Red Sea Sudanese Journalists Association organized a workshop entitled (The role of media in the war of dignity), and it was honored by the presence of the governor of the Bahr State, Red Lieutenant General Mustafa Muhammad Nour, from the Minister of Culture and Government. The talk was initiated by the Governor of the Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Muhammad Nour, who confirmed that this workshop is one of the most important workshops, considering that the non-military battle is a media and diplomatic battle, and that the rapid support It was necessary to document the action of the militias throughout Sudan, indicating that this war was not only aimed at the armed forces, but that it explicitly targeted the citizens, as it aimed children, women and people elderly. The governor added that the true role of the media in documenting such unjustified crimes and violations appears here, and he highlighted the presence of media personnel in the battle with pen and gun.

The governor added: “There must be a clear plan so that each individual can work alone, so that tasks are distributed so that each group works in a specific job”, stressing that this is about a history that must be documented, noting that There are safe states in which there are no militias or violations. The media does not document these crimes, which confirms the role of the media in this period. For his part, the Minister of Culture and Information, Mr. Khaled Ali Al-Aysar, expressed concern about the concerns of the press and journalists, stressing that they feel their suffering, stressing that during their meeting with the Sovereignty Council, they follow the press and the media community. He said a number of journalists were injured by the war, appreciating their great role during the war period and in the battle for dignity, and they played a vital role.

Al-Aasar preached that their priorities now are to restore the era of the press, combat hate speech and create an atmosphere for all journalists without quarreling anyone from an ideological or political point of view , indicating that they are working for a new cycle in which all entities be included.

Al-Aasar said they have a historic responsibility before all components, stressing that they want to end the polarization that brought the war to this stage. While the President of the Red Sea Sudanese Journalists Association, Mr. Mohieddin Muhammad Ali, highlighted the association's concern for the national interest, which is reflected in the role of the media and their participation in the war of dignity, stressing that there is a consensus between the national media and all its components to stand alongside the armed forces in their war against the rebel militia of rapid support, and that they have not responded to the temptations, but rather stayed alongside the armed forces and denounced human rights violations. the rebel militia.

For her part, Ms. Ibtisam Al-Sheikh, member of the Sudanese Journalists Association and rapporteur of the workshop, expressed her complete satisfaction with the support of media professionals alongside the armed forces in the defense of the homeland and honor, and praised the role of the organization. war correspondents who covered the war and direct confrontations.

She emphasized that the aim of the workshop is to highlight the contributions of media to the battle for dignity and what is required of media institutions and media professionals themselves through this work.

After that, the guidelines were discussed and revised, and discussions were opened to arrive at recommendations to be reflected to the competent authorities in order to benefit from them in the development of the media map.
