Humanitarian Aid Commission issues statement disavowing the Association of Sudanese Civil Society Organizations
The Humanitarian Aid Commission has disavowed the entity called (Gathering of Sudanese Civil Society Organizations), because it does not have any legal status or legal legitimacy that would allow it to carry out any activity in the name of humanitarian affairs. Its activities in the name of voluntary and humanitarian work are considered to be in violation of the provisions of the Law Regulating Volunteer Humanitarian Work of 2006. The regulations governing the work state that “national and foreign humanitarian and voluntary organizations, networks and federations must register with the General Register in accordance with the provisions of the law” and in accordance with the noble objectives of humanitarian and voluntary action. , which aim to strengthen human rights and the rule of law.
Therefore, we find that the “Sudanese Civil Society Organizations Gathering” violates the provisions of the law and its regulations, uses volunteer work and humanitarian affairs to obtain illegal gains, and threatens national security.
The Commission notes: Any voluntary humanitarian organization or entity dealing with this body (the Sudan Civil Society Organizations Group) is considered a violation and is subject to legal liability.
