Identity papers are expensive when needed – the latest treatment – ✍️ Khaled Fadl Al-Sayyid
Identity documents of any kind, such as a passport, national card, nationality card, national number, driving license, etc., are considered an important document for the individual and the state, as they are used to carry out all operations. official transactions and procedures in various government and private facilities are considered to have a security dimension in the context of this war, as they are used to identify the individual.
After the outbreak of this war, and in light of the destruction, vandalism and thefts that took place in state institutions and houses, citizens lost most of their identity papers and some of them had photos of themselves on their phones.
Given the treatment of these official documents, it was necessary for the citizen to extract them, whether for travel or for medical treatment, or for banking transactions, or for purchase and sale operations, or any other transaction, which required him to go to the competent authorities to extract them, and there he was confronted and surprised by the exorbitant costs when extracting or providing the service in the event of the national number, but his desperate need makes him do the impossible to obtain it, despite the circumstances he experiences of displacement and loss of property and homes due to this war.
We hope that state institutions will not take advantage of the citizen's need for documents by imposing fees or increasing them under the pretext that the obliged person will pay.
We hope that the leaders of the state and those who have ties with the citizens will make decisions that will reduce the burden on them and that will take into account their situation and that of their families, especially after the outbreak of the war. Rather, they will have to bear part of this cost of leaving the citizen alone to face this when he is already suffering.
